Converting a 1.0 12v

Post by bennn »

Hey all ive got a 1.0 12v corsa b and i love the car. the outside is perfect and the inside is also how i want it now but its just the engine i want abit more to it because their is something wrong with it anyway because when i put my foot down slowly it picks up fine but if i want to throttle it foot to the floor it throws you to the windscreen lol. I was just wondering if there was anyone around the Northamptonshire area that could convert the engine from a 1.0 to a 1.6 GSI engine dont want anything major just want a good little runner and if someone could give me a list of EVERYTHING i would need for it. ive been to the scrapyard and can get an engine but i anit no mechanic so.. Obviously would pay someone to do it for me just need some advice on what im doing and what i need to get.

Thanks Benn

converting the engine isnt too hard. just the linking up of the wireing, as the ecu is in the bay, you need to link up a few for the dials and a live/earth for the ecu etc.
