hi i've just bought an r reg corsa sport for my misses just wondered if there are any common faults as i've discovered it needs a head gasket not happy,its lucky i'm a mechanic.Not had much to do with early ecotecs so any feed back is good feed back cheers ady

Make sure you skim the head before replacement, saves potential problems for the future.

the only problem ive came around quite alot with the 14xe's is the egr valve and it can be a bast**d to change, apart from the head gasket going i have had no major problems
