Hi, i made a thread a while back with this problem and as it wasn't really affecting me so i decided to just leave it as it was. Im not a car mechanic so don't know any technical words lol so ill try to describe my problem as well as i can.
Ok firstly, in the mornings, especially the frosty mornings when my car is nice and cold, the car starts first time everytime with no need for me to apply any gas.
The problem i'm having is after 10-15 minutes of driving when the engines hot, the car doesn't start as well, i need to apply a bit of gas to kick her into action. This isn't a problem for me applying gas however today after driving for just up to an hour, i jumped out at a shop so my car was off for about 2 minutes while the engine was very hot. I turned the key and the ignition just turned and the noise where the engine is trying to start come on, i couldn't even apply the gas to start the engine. I waited a few mins and tried again... same problem. I tried a third time and then she come on with me applying gas. This then leads onto another problem i have, when the cars hot, it feels as if the engine wants clog out when i'm coming to a stop, its the kind of juddering feeling when you are between the end of the biting point and the point of stalling, which means i really have to rev it to set off. Anyway when i got home, the car was off for about an hour then i started it again and it started fine with just a little gas.
The reason i'm posting this is cause the car has always started first time and i have it for around 5 months now.
Does anyone have ideas as to what it could be ? I thought it could be the battery or ignition but surely it wouldn't work with the engine cold aswell as hot ?? As i say im not very technical with cars so a problem and likely cost will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

if you have a 1liter then no you cant
only other sure fire way of finding if theres any faults is get it on a diagnostic
probably cost about £20 for a guy to come and do it
look in yellow pages best bet

Re: Problem starting car when engine is hot
Right, i guess ill do that then. Will he be able to find the fault though as it only happens when the engines hot ?. Does anyone know what the fault could be?, could be something to do with over heating... i might have a dodgy thermostat thing cause it stays on dead zero until i drive around for half an hour then it goes just below half way.
