Post by Kris »

just bought some second hand angel eyes from ebay, took them home n realised the small bit of plastic that plugs into the headlight clip has snapped off, is there a way to fix this or should i just take them back ?

the mount thats on the top that you put a screw through, you should have the same on the front of the headlight aswell, and the male and female bit is only a clip to stop the headlight from twitching around its nothing to worry about if the headlight is mounted in using the other two mounting points.

well ive just noticed the standard headlights that are on now one clip is missing, the headlight moves slightly but thats about it, was thinking of threading a bolt through the plastic and putting the nut on the other side to hold it steady but if it doesnt matter then i wont bother, thanks for that :)

its not like its the 2 main mountins though.. i just think tappin a bolt through the bottom of the plastic, getting a rubber washer and nut on the other end wil do the same job as the bit of plastic would do.. i dont know ill just try it, if it doesnt work ill just get my money back.

you shouldnt have to worry about that small clip at the back of the headlight, and liam is right, but this clip shouldnt matter at all. as its still got two mounts on the headlight itself.

testers put their fingers under the headlight to check for movement as the clip the headlight clips into goes brittle and either falls out or breaks ,its one of the pet fails on a corsa the other 2 are handbrake cables frayed and cracks on the b pillars .every tester i know checks these items without fail as its an easy way to fail a corsa on test

Well if i was u would get money back and get a decent set that are not defective, better to be safe than sorry, having to pay out more money to fix it and getting an mot fail.
