remote cable trouble

Post by TomTomsatnav »

alright there, i bought a corsa b 5dr a few months back there, its my first car. I bought a sub and amp the other day and installed it. The next morning i went out tried to start the car and battery was dead, i then new it was obvousily something to do with the remote cable, alot of people say the most common colour is blue. Now i have the orginal wires what where connected to the raido player, theres a blue wire and a blue/red wire and thats the only wires with blue in it, i have connected the wire to the blue one.. but it dont seem to be working. some people say it might be the wire what i've got with the sub and amp package. can someone tell me if i have wired it up correct and its just the wire i got with package? or ive connected to the wrong wire,

Thanks
Tom :)

Abit more detail on how you installed it would help but a dodgy remote should not be the cause of dead battery and the remote wire should work in the blue wire in back of stereo if not check the connection and whether there is power to the blue cable if there is try and get the remote cable in there with a good connection. Hope this helps.
If in doubt, flat out

Halfrauds charge 39.99 for them to be fitted personally i find that a rip off.
