wuld airtake and carb cleaner

hi would air intake and carb cleaner spray be orite to clean a performance filter just wondering but not sure wheather it be ok or not.

youd be better off getting the proper stuff. try halfords or ebay. you need to clean the filter thoroughly with the soapy stuff for half an hour or something like that and then let it dry then spray it with oil so it helps keep the dirt etc out.
