I ended up driving into a hidden, muddy ditch at about 25mph. I have bent the plate under the gearbox and it looks like it has sheared a screw out of the gearbox.
When I drive it makes abit of a growling noise when i lift up the clutch and with low rpm. When I pick up speed it starts making a whistling noise and if i'm in fifth it constantly makes the whistling noise.
It is a 1.4 8v R Reg Corsa Breeze.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Could it have done damage to the gearbox?
Will I need to replace the full gearbox or just the plate?
How much will it cost for a gearbox, the plate under it and fitting charges?
I need to try and get it sorted by sunday morning because I need to drive 200 miles to the airport for my holiday... Perfect timing :/
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Gearbox plate bent
It is losing oil from the gearbox, which I think explains the noise :/
