Oil in carburettor

Post by kevdoug »

Hi this is my first post. I have a Corsa B 1.0 2000 which is running very badly. What is happening when I start the car is sometimes it will rev ok other times it just will not rev unless I turn it off and start it again.

I have cleaned and checked the EGR, Lambda, MAF and the accelerator sensor. I have replaced the air filter and spark plugs.

When I was cleaning the carburettor I noticed some oil in the pot, which I don’t think should be there. (Photo's attached)

Any advice on what I can do to get the car running properly?

No misfiring, the car has flat spots when driving.

I have cleaned all breather pipes.

ah right  i should have read your writing more thoroughly  what you can do tho is buy vauxhall diagnostic readers of ebay that just simply plug into your diagnostic port on your car and that will list the fault with your car on your laptop screen after you'v installed the software, my mate has on and its a good system it helps alot :)

I have the ELM 327 but the software does not work on my 2000 1.0 litre engine it has the 16 pin socket.

Which software is your mate using?
