Newbie needs help!

Post by Burty Bibbles »

Hello all,

I'm new here and i have a big problem, i have a 97 (P reg) corsa vegas 1.2 ltr. When i try to start it it fires up but then dies imediatly, i've had it at a garage who ran the diagnostic on it and came up with fault code 93 Quad Drive Module. They said the ECU had failed and needs a new one. the car wasn't running when they tested it. Anybody able to tell me what the problem is or how to cure it? i've read in various places that it could be the crank sensor.

Crank sensor would be my first guess. Might be worth taking it somewhere else for a second opinion with the diagnostic equipment at least then the worst case is you lose a further £25 but not crap loads on a new ECU if that's not what the real issue is.........

Seem to be discussing an issue like yours above don't know if that helps at all?

List of codes above.....
