my new corsa

Post by shaunyb1991 »

Here is my corsa i brought a few months ago.
when i first brought her, she had 54k on the clock
fully standard corsa b in arden blue with sxi alloys on.
Image
Image
Image
so i started modding her, here is the first things i did.
Image
i destripped the sides, and i debadged the grill.
Image
after this i decided to drop her. as she looked like an off roader how high she was.
Image
this is the difference in the springs. :O
Image
Image
i love how she sits now. perfect front wheel arch gap.
still think the back needs dropping more.
next i thought it was time for a change of wheels.
so i sold my sxi's
Image
and brought some tigra wheels for cheap :)
Image
next i managed to get hold of a cheap spoiler, needed some TLC then i painted it gloss black and put it on. but i went down to the local scrap yard and managed to find a set of smoked standard rear lights at teh same time.
Image
in doing this i thought next was a black bonnet. which i managed to get hold of cheap. my girlfriend brought it me bless her lol. :P
Image
Image
not long after this i parked too close to a curb and broke the splitter and bumper. which i havent got round to fixing yet. :(
the last mod i did was to do the boot grab.
this is the boot grab before i got to work on it.
Image
i then removed the badge, smoothed it and painted it gloss black
Image
this is the latest picture i took. but the idiot before me who had it had reverse park sensors put in so i need a new rear bumper too. if anybody can help me?
Image
looking for a gromit to dewiper the boot next. just got to go my local shop to get one.
any ideas for this next? will take into consideration. will update it when i next change something.
thanks for looking :)

doing them yourself can be a right pain in the ***, but can be done with patience, happy with how mine came out :D. i think you should try it yourself, just follow the right guides, i sort of made my own.. but happy with the outcome :P

i would like to do them myself, but im not sure how there done. when i did my mates fiesta 1s you could remove the lens. but apparently you have to brake the lens on the corsa as they are stubborn or something. dont quote me on that as im not sure haha.
and thanks, i do like the black bonnet. but i have the standard blue 1 if i wanna change it back
thanks for the feedback guys

yeah, the way i did mine was,
buy another set of headlights, cut the back of 1 set with a saw so you at the most only have the glass, put them in the oven to warm up, snip abit of the plastic thats left, grab a pair of pliers and roll up the plastic if that makes sense? then just smash the glass out of the other 1 and use the rear plastics off of that. that method worked best for me, probally sounds like a stupid idea, but it worked :) (this probally made no sense at all )

went to my local scrapyard again the otherday and found a 1.4 sport corsa in there.
and found the sport interior.
got it quite cheap was pleased with the price.
Image
this was when i dropped it off ready for fitting.
Image
removed seats, back bench, door cards n the back and front seats
Image
stripped out
Image
new back bench
Image
new front seats
Image
seats are alot more comfortable. very happy for what i payed. :)
got some more bumpers to go on now aswell, and currently looking at a smooth boot. but i need the paint for them in arden blue.

i havent been on the forum in a while so heres my latest updates,
i have brought a set on black angels, i got them quite cheap off somebody not far from mine.
Image
i got them home, gave them a good clean, replaced a bulb then got them in
Image
started to take them off
and when they were on this is how they looked
Image
Image
i liked they way it looked from this, but the bumper was still annoying me.
then i managed 2 find a set of bumpers quite cheap and a boot.
so the work started on the bumpers i brought.
Image
Image
Image
Image
then i got them primered
Image
after this i got the paint on.
Image
back bumper before laquer
Image
once the front bumper was laquered i got the clio splitter on. this is how it looked.
Image
when i got it on the car this is how it looked.
Image
Image
then i got the back bumper on after paint
Image
Image
heres the smoothed boot. i havent put this on as im abit unsure on weather i like it or not.
Image
Image
the last thing ive done is got a set of wind deflectors on.
im not sure on what to do next now, bit of a debate on weather to keep it now or not.
