One of my mates went for welding a plate on in the shape he wanted, ground the welds down so they were smooth and using body filler to fill the gap and re spraying.

Thing is though, when you get it resprayed the rest of your car may look a little faded :/

Theres no set way which to do this so it's just whatever way you think is best and easier for you.

Mine werw Done professionally. Bump strips werw cut back flush then plastic welded in. Then small amount of filler to smooth them off completely. See here

You could but driving along bumpy roads would most likely cause filler to crack or even fall out! Fibreglass would work better than filler.

'purecarsound's is right....
but i did mine like this....
cut a square off a old bumper...
and platic welded that where the plate goes, then fiber glassed the groove as it not very deep rele....
then just filled the rest to get the shape :)

What about just fibreglass? Cheapest eay possible is needed haha

fiber glass will leave little hole's....
you could prob get a tub of both of ebay for around 15 pound intotal
