when your out of the city and on speed no power steering is all most the same.. with daily use you wouldn't know the difference.
The Cars:
Corsa Gsi 94' c20xe Project in progress
Corsa Swing 98' 1.4 8v- girlfriends daily
Renault megane estate 1.5 turbo diesel- daily
Bmw E21 320 4cyl 77' project
Bmw E21 318 4cyl. 76' donor
Bmw E21 315 4cyl 82' project

Corner speed is the key!

Cheers for all the input guys,

I wont say its not for town use but i will say its not a daily driver so its not like al have to put up with it all the time. Think i will go with no power steering, Cant be all that bad surely.

On another note, A little parcel came through the door today for me. Will make a bit more progress to the car at the weekend, Should have the power box fitted and running.

Luv it when the post man brings parcels...

Will trial fit it at the weekend.

Just a wee update the day,

Got the power box fitted an running again, Tidy'd up some of the wires while i was changing the manifold. Got a couple of pics of the engine stripped but hands were to dirty to take pics of it all built back up. Will get a couple of pics tomorow when i get back to it. Its nearly time to start stripping the engine out of the car.

Well i thought it was going to be the weekend before i got back to the car again, But my parents wanted to see the kids so i took them down and left them in the house :D

So i went out to the garage and did a little more, Managed to get all the wiring out the bay, Most of the brake pipes, The wings off the car and all the pedals out (Accelerator, brake an clutch). Not bad for just under 2 hours.

Pics........

I do love these project logs, likeing yours, nice to see a corsa stripped down to the bare bones then rebuilt with new replacement parts, following your progress as it happens, i can't do this to mine because i don't have a garage and also not enough experiance or confidence to do this type of work on mine as it's my first car and don't want to bugger it up lol. :)

with out power steering it feels like your more in control, even more so when your going fair fast, i think powersteering seems too light for these small cars, so nice work so far though keep the pictures coming :)

Cheers for the good words guys, Al defo keep you all updated with pics as i go.

If i get as far with it this weekend as i want there could be primer going into the bay,

Defo going with no power steering, It looks so much cleaner an empty in the bay. Just need to get myself a non power steering rack/engine mount/belt tensioner and belt. If anyone one has a rack or mount in good nick let me know.

Cheers
