If your not to good at mechanics an engine conversion is not for you
You'd need a full New loom New engine mounts New driveshafts your old gearbox will bolt on but I'd recommend gettin a box from a sport, need a new exhaust New clocks
I wouldn't recommend a noob doing a straightforward swap as in 1.0 for a new 1.0, it's basically bolt off bolt in but if you don't know what your doing you can hook stuff up wrong and fry sensors or fry your ecu, start an electrical fire while doing 60-70mph

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

If you have a mechanic friend you would help I'd say go for it but it's still maybe a month or longer project depending on your funds
Or do a turbo project, costs about the same

Cost depends on alot of variables like where you get the engine, who does it, cost of Labour,
Engine prices vary from couple hundred to over a grand
Your going to have alot of hours in labour in it(5-14 days, can be done quicker but depends on who does it) so at a good garage it's going to be 35-45 per hour but different areas different prices
I'd budget 2k and that includes a full doner car(2-600)
