Cannot get that f**k nut off! The top mount just spins and trying to hold it i still cant get it off

You need a drop neck spanner to get the nut off and another spanner to Stop it spinning
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

What i used to do is grab the bar of the shock up near the top with a vice grips, but i've heard since its not good for the shock

I had mole grips on the bar but it still ended up turning, i aint got any drop knecks so i think i'll put it back together and go another day

You use a spark plug socket and then the allen key goes in through it and you can put a spanner on the sparkplug socket and undo it its easier to crack it off when on car may need to put a bar on allen key as will have the long bit down and better to have an allen key without a ball bit on

Some shocks have an Allen key slot in the top of them, yours doesn't I'm afraid.
Iirc you need an 18mm swan neck spanner and an 8mm spanner

Awesome! Working away till friday! So if i dont get a swan neck spanner mates garage will air gun then off and if hes not busy let me put them on in his garage everythings there
