Tax changes
Not 100% sure on how true this is, apparently some time this year, car tax will not be carried on with the car when selling. Anybody know if this is true? Would affect the 2nd hand car market quite a lot surely as part of your budget when buying would have to include new tax.

Re: Tax changes
Yeah it's true, tax disks will no longer be shown in the window, it will all be done on the database, yeah it will affect the 2nd hand car market which is rubbish, plus they would have to tax it over the phone or post office before it's driven away too.

That's gonna be stupid, if it works the way it is now, why change it??Barraclough wrote:Not 100% sure on how true this is, apparently some time this year, car tax will not be carried on with the car when selling. Re: Tax changes
What a waste of time this is going to be, another genius government idea. Can the owner send the tax disc back for a rebate or is the tax disc just void as soon as they sell it?

Re: Tax changes
How it shud work when its changed u can pay ur tax as it was b4 for 6 or 12 months but from what ive found out u can also have a monthly direct debit for ur car aswell but the next person wont take it on i think. I think u get a refund for what's left on it
If it ain't green and black send it back
