whats happening

hiya,can anyone tell me the top speed you can get out of a 1.2 8v?

i have one but someone told me they do 85mph!

if so why is mine doin 105 completely standard?

i was coming home from ice skating down the m42,looked at my speedo and it said 100.....i was just happy my car was doin that at first then i looked at my gear box and seen i had another gear

thats why im spun out

Speedos are usually out.

With a 1.2 8v your really gonna be hard pushed to get it above 90-95mph. Your speedo might say 110, but it won\'t be doing it.

i.e, my old 1.4 ran up to 126mph on the speedo, just about at the limiter in 5th.

Working out the 10% difference it comes to about 114-115mph, 2pm off the gearbox limit of 117mph....

The speedo said a lot more though...
