1.0 12v missing

Post by dobs »

I`ve just bought a corsa 1.0 12v and it is missing. i`m a ford mechanic but luv the corsa`s.

I put my code reader on it and it said air flow meter so i put one on it and it stayed the same so i cleaned the throttle on it and did nothing at all. then i put a new idle control vale on and it went like a sweety for about an hour and then started playing up again. So far I`ve spent a bit of money and am no further on, cand anybody give me a few ideas?

Cheers Dobs

can be soiled or broken sparkplugs (or incorrect gapped)
also if you have had the sparkplugs out make sure they havnt misthreaded when you put back in would cause that cylnder to leak and misfire...
faulty coilpacks
a really dirty airfilter may also cause a misfire
too much engine oil

also could be the engine timing is slighly out
