Trouble Code P0505

Hello, I am having a problem with a Trouble Code error of P0505 "present idle air voltage haigh." Has anyone else had this error before, or know how to fix it without buying the expensive GM kit suggested: Part Number, Catalogue Number - 090164454, 6237004. It is recommeding that i replace the throttle valve adjuster and adapter cable, but I was wondering if there was a way around this. The model is a Corsa-B, engine X12XE, function group J-engline and the complaints group is 19-Poor Engine Driveability. Thanks for any advice that you may be able to give! Bill
