Hi all,
Over the past couple of months I've been to two different garages about a grinding noise I keep getting when on full lock to the right, Its fine just turning it steering slightly but mainly roundabouts and sometimes corners.
Both garages have said its the drive shafts and they've been replaced but its still there. Think they did need replacing too but the main problem I went to both for still isnt fixed.
I suggested the CV joint to the second garage and bought one to be fitted as I assumed thats what it would be since the first garage fitted new drive shafts but no they said its your drive shaft too.
Did research which suggested CV Joint but I dont wanna wreck my car with the front collapsing on me one day.
Any ideas? Fed up of spending hard earned money on nothing hut don't have any mates that are mechanics to check it out for me.
Thanks in advance.
Grinding noise on full lock any ideas??

Is it a griding or clunk, have you after market alloys? What wheels have you?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Its like a grinding I'd say, thats what I booked it in the garage for in the first place to fit wheels, they are vauxhall wheels et49 and I had this problem with the old wheels too so not that.
Heard different things like cv joint, wishbones etc but ive no idea im no mechanic.

Check brakes, pads discs, check for uneven wear and lips on the discs
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Ill have a check in the morning. If I remember rightly there was a advisory on previous mots for engine mount before I bought the car. Could be that.

I dont know much about cars just trying to read up everywhere and someone said it puts strain on drive shafts etc if mount worn and can cause vibration.
you know more than me but ive contacted the mechanic to ask if he happened to notice anything else, we'll see.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah if the mounts broke it can even break the shaft, but ive assumed if the mount has broke thr mechanic would have noticed the engine siting slanted but then again he could be an dumbass
