Basically I took the steering column off my gfs corsa b 97 plate, to look for loose wires to the radio I then popped the cover off the black box attached to the ignition barrel (the key reader if I'm not mistaken) ...worst idea ever! The screw driver slipped and a tiny fuse broke off from somewhere but I have no idea where, the car now won't start, there's a ecu light on the dash flashing ( engine with a lightning bolt) the car turns over when the key is turned then cuts out every time!
What have I done?!!? Is this gonna be costly and how much of a job someone please help!
How much trouble have I caused...!?

You will need another black box and keys. Put the new box in and swap the chips from the new keys so you don't need to change the locks. Ebay us a good place.

Okay I see what you mean but would that work? Surely the cars computer wouldn't recognise the new black box?diggerhole wrote:You will need another black box and keys. Put the new box in and swap the chips from the new keys so you don't need to change the locks. Ebay us a good place.
Have you done this before?
Thanks for the reply
