problem with my lights.

Post by davey86 »

Hi all, ive got a problem with my lights on my 1999 corsa breeze. If I have my lights on when I indicate and brake, my hi beam light flashes on the dash with the indicator flash... I'm pretty sure there's a light at the back flashing too that shouldn't be when I do this. also I noticed when backing into the drive the other night when I have lights on, reversing and braking both my indicators come on permanent ( not flashing). Maybe I have to check my earth's?? I know there's one just by the light cluster on rear passenger side. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

My guess is that something got wet and now it's messing with the connections, normally the rear cluster let's water in and brake lights light instead of indicators, fogs instead of brakes so on and so forth

The other common problem is the stalk itself, the good news is there cheap and easy to do, it's odd that both things decided to go wrong at the same time so I'd get a new stalk and clean the connections on the rear cluster and report back :)
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

All fixed, had a corroded connector on the back of the cluster, cleaned it up and works spot on. Thanks for your help :)
