Hey guys, recently my 1.0 has started to make a sort of whistling/whining noise coming from the aux belt/alternator? Any ideas as to what this could be?
It seems to happen when the battery is low, so could it just be a simple case of getting a new battery and alternator?

Over working an alternator that may already have worn bearings possibly
Could be the fan belt is loose but it's more of a squeal
Could you post a vid of the noise? It might help quite abit

If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Thanks for the reply, an over worked alternator certainly sounds like it could be it as I recently put that sound system in that was in my thread. Also it is on the original battery and alternator as far as I'm aware, there was what sounded like a bearing noise but that comes and goes. Currently out at the minute but will post a vid for you as soon as I get in mate

Could be one of two things
Your alternator bearings or you tensinor
Wheel bearings try spraying wd40
But without seeing or hearing it
It's a stab in the dark
