Help!! Its Broked!

The other night i snapped the speedo cable!! Dowener i know now whats happenning is -

A hazard warning light comes on the dash (usually while im going down hill strangley)
When i pull upto a junction instead of the revs staying at idle they just completely drop off and the car stops, if i catch it quick enough it will restart, but usually i need to jump it when it stalls because it runs out of battery??

Any ideas????

Im pretty fumin about it (really dangerous pulling up 2 a junction 2, STALL..... no brakes or steering!!)

Get a new cable cos it wont run very well if you unplug (or break in your case) the cable cos its not putting miles on the car!!

I have the ultimate problems

I bought a motorbike Husky Sms125 rode it to work yesterday and it exploded (after 90 miles!!)
Went home ill, had to get the bus due to bike breaking, buss broke down and had to walk 2 miles for a lift then had an arguement with the Mrs and split up!!

I had the worst day of my life!
